Capture The Flag

As part of our South Florida Innovation Day on November 15, 2023, the Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation will also offer attendees to participate in a cybersecurity Capture the Flag (CTF) challenge. The Center of Innovation has partnered with By Light Professional IT Services to offer an interactive way to learn and practice cybersecurity knowledge and skills in a safe simulated environment using By Light’s CyberCENTS platform. The CTF overview and challenge will last 90 minutes. The facilitators will provide a 20–30-minute overview of the CyberCENTS range environment and then allow participants 60-70 minutes to complete the CTF challenges.

Participants will access the Levan Center’s on-premise hosted CyberCENTS range via workstations. To be successful, participants will need to have basic knowledge of networking, subnetting, TCP/IP, and routing protocols, Basic Linux Commands, Basic Windows Admin, packet analysis, endpoint log analysis, Snort, TCDump, and Wireshark. The CyberCENTS environment uses Open Source Linux-based PFSense Firewalls and Vyatta routers. There is limited space available so sign up today!
